Launch of Duet Pilates! And celebrating Faith in Pilates' first month!

Hello! It’s been a month since I’ve launched my Clementi home studio, and thanks to your support, the studio has been buzzing! In June, bring a friend for Duet Pilates (1:2), and enjoy 50% off.

Celebrating the clients!

Each client that comes through my door bears a story, for which my home studio is a safe space for the stories to unravel. Here's a spotlight on 2 of them:

Ms G, a cancer survivor and busy mom of 2, is prioritising her health and wellness this season. She shows up diligently each week, and inspires me with her mental resilience. She would try exercises that she didn't think she could do, such as long stretch (shoulder/core-focused plank exercise on the reformer), and sets her mind to complete a target number of reps whenever she feels she has reached her limit. Each week, we celebrate her progress of getting stronger and toner.

Madam S, in her 60s, started Pilates with encouragement from her daughter. She wanted to improve her pelvic floor function. Over the last few weeks, she gained understanding of how our pelvic floor works in relation to our breath, improved muscle tone in core, back and arms, which manages kyphosis (overly-flexed upper thoracic spine) that women tend to experience as we enter menopause. We’ve also strengthened hip, knee and ankle stability to improve balance for fall prevention. Here’s what Madam S has to say:

“I was very impressed with Faith's professionalism. I'm in my sixties, she had guided me patiently, not only to improve my overall muscle strength, but also my joint mobility, posture and pelvic floor function (urogynaecology). Thanks Faith.”

Launch of Duet Pilates!

Two glowing mummies in a Duet Pilates session

One of my greatest joys of being a women’s health specialist is celebrating life with my clients.

A former pre-natal client is now expecting Baby No.2, and asked if she could bring another mum-to-be to practise Pilates together.

And I thought, why not? Duet Pilates, where 2 clients are guided by an instructor through different exercises, is common in Classical Pilates studios. I’ve experienced the benefits of this class format as a client in Alan Herdman Pilates Studio (the man who popularised Pilates in London) and am excited to introduce this concept - albeit with modifications due to space constraint - to my home studio.

Each client performs an exercise on separate equipment, e.g, footwork on the Stability Chair while the other does arm work on the tower, and they switch. In an hour, they would complete 4-5 sets of 2 exercises.

This round-robin format is a great way for people who are hesitant about Pilates, to try it with a friend, in a more focused and intimate setting compared to a group class. The 2 glowing mummies (pictured above) injected so much energy and fun in the studio!

To mark its launch, I am offering a 5-duet promotion, at S$325 per pax for 5 sessions (S$65 per pax per session). That is 50% off the usual 1:1 5-class pack, valued at $675 ($135 per session).

Grab a friend, and book your duet session today. Offer ends 30 June, 2025. T & Cs apply.

I will be sharing some videos on Instagram on Pilates exercises for pregnancy, in collaboration with Antonia, a soon-to-be mummy of 2! The exercises are targeted at preparing Antonia, who is in her 3rd trimester, for birth.

So follow along @faithinpilates, and share with a mummy who might find the information beneficial!
